Artist's Comments

This is the Giants Causeway yesterday morning, a terrible dawn with no colour in the sky, rain & strong winds blowing the spray everywhere... but mostly over my filters :-(

I'm putting it up because, basically, it's the most scared I've ever been when taking a photo! Those rocks are so slippery, felt like I was walking on ice.

Fantastic fun though ;-)

Like it. Got a blue, cold feel over it. The front is sharp, while the water is more blury(and its fine that way). But the pic lack some kind of amusement or something. Like it tho, its kinda relaxing. ;)

interesting rock formation :) thought not digging the blue tone too much...it looks too saturated w/ the blue.

It's a great shot. I'm glad you posted it up. The angle at which you captured the rocks really bring out the geometry. And I like the rainy bluish tone. The shot has a calm mood to it. For my liking, "The Peak" has wonderful colors but I give this one the edge.

When I shot it I was intending to convert to black & white, but as it was a long exposure before sunrise the auto white balance gave it this blue tone, which I decided I prefered.

It's a matter of personal taste, but for me the blue suits the overall tone of the shot. Acurately represents the misery I went through to get it as well ;-)

Thanks for looking.

Must confess I prefer 'the peak', mainly due to getting a bit of light on the stones. Plus, you know, pretty colours ;-)
