I've been looking through some old shots, making notes of places I want to revisit in the new year with my new lens, and found this one from Flatford.

It's my favourite tree - the one shown on my profile page, and although that one is by far the better shot I do rather like this one. That tree is weird from every angle!

Thought it rather looked like an old ent pulling himself up from the ground.

i love the anthropomorphism of trees, but this is like something out of Harry Potter ... this is spectacular! (would you dare to go back at night during a full moon?)

Not sure I'd dare to go back at night, I'd probably end up falling in the river, which is just out of shot on the left of the tree!
