The rock in this image with it's interesting shape and colour creates a great foreground interest in which to lead the viewer into the shot. The retreating waves creating foam in the foreground lead the viewer to the somewhat colourless sky which on it's own doesn't do much for the photo but the cloud formations somewhat mask this problem. The distant lone rock in itself has an interesting shape to it. Great image.
